Clem Hetherington and her robot brother, Digory, enter a multi-day rally race to recover stolen artifacts. The Ironwood Race is the first book in a series, due out from Scholastic Graphix in 2018.

This graphic novel project won the 2012-2013 ASA Emerging Writer’s Mentorship Program and a 2010 Australia Council for the Arts Emerging Writer’s Grant.

Something’s Amiss at the Zoo

Some of the animals are deeply unhappy and the zoo keepers can’t figure it out. The spider monkey, for example, won’t spin his web or eat his flies and he seems scared of the other spiders. It’s bewildering!

This graphic novel project won a 2014 Australian Society of Authors’ Children’s Picture Book Illustrators’ Initiative grant and a 2014 Arts Victoria project grant.
